In 1935 the artist went to Paris and discovers Cèzanne's painting which represents a turning point for him. In this period, his painting production is characterized by geometrical shapes and light colors. Tamburi's painting became famous both in Italy and abroad thanks to his attendance to the most important international manifestations such as La Biennale in Venice and La Quadriennale in Rome. During the 40s he moves to Paris where his paintings became more troubled and personal. The trip in the USA in 1957 had a strong impact on his painting technique.
