Mixed media on canvas. Signature, title and date on the back. Angelo Cagnone, an artist originally from the province of Savona who lives and works in Milan, develops a pictorial concept considered an interlude between the figurative and the abstract; it is not an instinctive or emotional painting, it is a thought-out painting: Cagnone builds the work around an idea, a memory, a fact that strikes him, inserting elements that serve to complete the painting, and which are often photos and writings. He is considered an exponent of Conceptual Art, understood as the creation of works in which the gestation phase is more important than the planning of its execution. It is therefore a thought-out, reasoned rather than felt art: the execution becomes a matter of pure assembly of objects that form the work. Cagnone's Fragments are elaborations mainly around the idea of a human head, as in this work. The work is presented in a frame.
